I've had 2" of rain in 24 hours, and it's a quagmire... The horse is in mud midway up his cannon bones getting into the barn (the barn is ok).

I remember after the snow melted in 2005 having about 1/2 to 1 inch of running water all over my property down the hill from you - talk about soggy!

The great thing for you is that your soil drains really, really (maybe too) well.

Glad you got some moisture, though - we all need it!Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08421589409738817614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30398829.post-16673709090620832352010-02-25T10:15:52.625-08:002010-02-25T10:15:52.625-08:00I love local gardening books like that. I tested seed for Garden City and for Renee Shepherd. I grew nearly all our vegs when we lived in Logan, Utah, too. What a crazy winter.

Glad you got a good gardening book! (Wish a good book would turn me into a gardener....I'm more of a farmer's market shopper and occasional blueberry picker.)

SueLife Looms Largehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05522897791564181980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30398829.post-14292845190361473762010-02-24T22:04:56.250-08:002010-02-24T22:04:56.250-08:00This is a nice pattern to weave, I have just finis...This is a nice pattern to weave, I have just finished mine. I used to be more active with the Master Gardeners here, but still try to keep informed as to new "stuff" re: our climate, lack of moisture (except for this winter!), and can-do-it-any-day frosts.
I love the towels, too! And try weaving rag rugs in woven patterns - I've even done them in colonial overshot!Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16933105773412843275noreply@blogger.com
