Charlie seems to have adopted the scanner. I'm not sure why. He and I have spent a lot of time together this week. I missed work because of a virus, and when I went to my doc on Monday for a return to work release, he told me that I was still sick and still contagious. So it's been a lot of me and Charlie these days. The dogs? In or out - whatever. So am I cat or a dog person?? I'm thinking , if I have to let you in or out multiple times in an hour - wait until Ian gets home from work.
So, joy of joys, my new Greensleeves Fox spindle arrived today, thanks to the miracles of shippage. Can you see how much smaller the Fox looks to the Louet? It spins like a much lighter spindle should. I'm pretty happy, I must say.

There is nothing like the joy of spinning on a finely balanced spindle made of pretty, pretty wood! And Greensleeves makes my very favorite. I'm so glad I could lead down the addictive path of handspindling.;-)
Is the scanner warm and perhaps has a very low frequency hum (something like a purr)? On these dark days with no sunbeams in which to bask, Jazzy gravitates to napping over areas where the hot water heat pipes run under the floor.....warm and a hum when the pipes are running.
Sorry for your virus. Hope you are well enough to use that new spindle. Just got my flu-shot today....so am hoping to avoid some down days.
Sorry you're under the weather, I've been there myself for a few (weeks?) days.
Nice spindle! The only nice one I have that I bought is a Loren, they dont make them anymore as I understand it, but it is a very nice, light, balanced spindle. The only one I use besides my homemade ones.
Feel better!
Lovely spindle! I wish my shoulder didn't bother me so much; I'd like to take up spindling again myself.
Also! I wanted to let you know that I finally did that book meme! :)
Go Charlie!
