And Still February

Robin in North Carolina tells me they are having drought, and we here in the high desert have had storms every week for two months. I woke to yet another white morning. The good news is that it melts quickly. The bad news is that the wet roads and road salts make a mess out of my car's windows and very soon my visibility is limited to only the arcs provided by my wipers.

This is what came home with me today. It's an inexpensive starter guitar, but I was pleased that my fingers remember where to go for the chords after all these years. I gave mine away after I let my calluses go and decided that I didn't need the guitars anymore anyway. I woke up one morning this week and realized that I needed a guitar after all. DD asked me if I really needed another hobby and I said that I don't think of music as a hobby. I had debit cards from our cell phone rebates and they had guitar written all over them.

I just subscribed to Acoustic Guitar magazine because they have online lessons. I never get bored with me!

I have played guitar for over 40 years now (eek) - For 21 years I played every Sunday nite in a restaurant. It was fun, but the restaurant changed hands, or I'd probably still be doing it.
Anyhow - good for you - Music is good for the soul. You'll pick it right back up. T.

How wonderful that you got your guitar! I used to play, but that was eons ago. I love it that you have a variety of interests and aren't afraid to step out and explore them. Good for you!

Good on you! I, myself, feel it is very important to have several creative outlets, to keep everything flowing. That's what I keep telling myself, anyway..

I did have a guitar when I was younger but never learned how to play; I played saxophone for years.
I understand about the weather, I need to wash my truck before the salt eats the paint!

Good for you! Tina said it: Music is good for the soul! One thing I learned when my father died was not to put off something you really want to do. He always wanted to see the Custer site and never made it for one reason or another. I realized I don't want to get to the end of my life and shoulda-woulda-coulda anything! :)
We, too, have had one storm after another.I need to update my blog today - most of what is going on is the same-ole-stuff. I keep telling my orchids they need to bloom, but they just look out the window and go back into hibernation. LOL!

What an exciting new adventure! I wish I could find more time, as I have an autoharp I have been meaning to learn to play....
