It was a Good Day

I had to make soap this more morning and after that, went upstairs to tie on my warp - all solitary endeavors. I called Mim. Can I come over and play at your house? We visited in her fiber room and I played on her Patrick Green's Super Card with merino, silk, angora and sari silk. This is what how my blended merino batts ended up.
What has Sammie and Buster looking out the window with such longing? You can see that they want something. I just realized that next month it will be a year since Sammie adopted herself to us.

They want to go outside but they don't want to go outside in this. It started to fall while I was at Mim's and by the time I opened and closed two gates, I got home like a wet dog myself.

I spent the rest of the afternoon updating my Etsy site and have finally uploaded some soap sales. The link in at the top of my blog. It was a good day.

Uh oh.... I see snow!

We haven't even had a dusting yet....very late in the year for that to be true.

I'm going to be dyeing for only my second time ever on Sunday. I'm askeered....so if you see panicked posts or emails on Sunday, you'll know why!

Happy weekend!

LOL, glad we are sharing our white stuff with neighbors east of us! I too have the dogs who want to go out but don't. Except Dennett, he could care less if it was snowing and seems to like it.
Beautiful job on the roving. I've never seen a P.Green carder in action. Looks like it works perfectly.
Glad you got out of the house to play! :-)

Love the box full of newly blended fiber and it looks like you kept all the snow...we're high and dry!

Yuk snow!!! Hope it holds off here for awhile.

You're batts look like puffs of cotton candy. Beautiful!!! Can't wait to see them spun up.

I was happy to see this storm and not too surprised it was snow for you. I am sure there was snow at my high country house as well, though I went back to Grass Valley today to teach a mitered square class at Fibers.. a nice group. Then hiking and a grandbaby visit rounded out the day - I will see snow soon enough!
