Red Sky in Morning
Sailors take warning.
That's was one of my mother's many sayings.
In came the clouds, delivering rain, rain, rain, beautiful rain, beautiful soaking rain.
Beautiful rain - beautiful clouds.
The Sierras got a nice dusting of snow. Winter is right around the corner. I can feel it in my bones - no really.

I have really enjoyed this respite; comfy temps, day and night. But I guess, if it has to happen, I would like to get it over with lol
You might have guessed, I dont like winter much...
I learned "Red sky at night shepherd's delight"...I rather like that version. We have a dusting of snow on our mountains, too.
WOW!
...sailors delight. I learned that from my Dad who was the ex-sailor! Love the shepards delight. Sounds like a yummy stew simmering on the wood stove in the winter.
Massively pretty!
Beautiful!
I know what you mean about feeling winter in your bones -- it is going to be in the 70s here today, but it still *feels* like winter, a charge in the air, or something.
What fabulous shots! I was glad to see the sun today, though we sure can benefit from rain. It was just an awful lot at once.
We're due for some snow this evening from your rain clouds. It won't be cold enough to stay, but we'll take any moisture we can get.
Thanks for blowing hard in our direction! :)
Our saying today is "Rain, rain, go away, come again some other day" - LOL - it has been raining & raining!
Living on (well about a mile away) Bellingham Bay, the red sky at night saying really does come true - I use it as my main sourse of weather reports. :-) T.
These are stunning photos!
