The Picture of March

I haven't posted twice in one day before but I just read Birdsong's blog and remembered that we agreed to post a picture the last day of each month to represent the whole month. I looked through my pictures and couldn't find anything that I hadn't already used. Then Ian called me outside to look at the wind clouds. Saved!! The pictures from my camera were kinda soggy. I decided to take the pictures with his DSLR and what a difference. He bought the same camera that Amy uses and not for the first time. We both have Nikons and I get better results indoors. I'm glad we have both cameras!

The pictures from my camera are on the left - his on the right. Mine aren't bad - his are better. I keep him for his camera.

The clouds are so amazing. I love they way they use the blue sky as a canvas. Your dyeing looks great!

Beautiful skies!! Which nikon's do you have? Mine is a Coolpix 995, bought for it's ability to take great macro shots.
The baby sweater in my post is from the XRX book, Kids,Kids,Kids. I linked it in an earlier post.

Lovely pix. Actually, all you need is a good photo editing program and you can make any picture picture perfect!

Ian's camera (and mine) are Nikon D50s. I have had a long run of Nikons, ever since my college days, and I swear by them. There are newer D-series out, but I am so happy with the D50 that I am not even tempted. I agree you can do a lot with Photoshop, but it can never be better than the underlying quality of the original image. No, I don't work for Nikon. ;-) Of course, it doesn't hurt that we live in the high country among fantastic vistas and sometimes crystal clear dry air.

You sky is SO big! I sometimes miss that effect, being in mountain canyons and that is why I so love going over to Nevada... thanks!
